we leave ours up to all season but there is a problem every 2/3 year we need a new awing as they perish with the weather and the third season can be dodgy especially if it is windy as one year we went over on a friday to find the back had split for over a foot leaving the runner in the rail and threads all seperated.

Myra, what sort of awning have you?  We've splashed out well over £1k on a Bradcot Residentia......I'll be more than peeved if we have to replace that in 2 years.

dorset belle, it was a dormena awning  that shreaded .

 

rbtmillar  we are on auchenbowie caravan site.at the services take a left down the denny road one mile down the road turn right for a mile site on right. very quite site  toilets old but clean and if you go out the other way past the site you come out at bannockburn monument.       all round the outer is full of seasonals and we all leave them on for storage over winter.

the site is owned by robert forsyth you know the big yellow cranes that you pass all the time on the motorway
