Hi,Does anyone know what size awning I need for a Abi Award Transtar 1989.I am thinking of buying one but the person selling it doesnt know the size in cm.It is a 15 ft one.Does anyone know if that will fit bearing in mind the bit that goes up at the back of the caravan.I haven't got the caravan here so I can't measure it,Many Thanks.Lynn.

Hopefully someone on the list has a similar van to you. The only way to get the proper size will be to measure ground to ground round the awning rail. But as you don't have access that will be difficult. Try to get the person selling the van to measure the van for you. The lenght of the van has nothing to do with the awning size, not that simple I'm afraid. You could ring a few awning dealers and see if thay have the measurements. Try an Isabella dealer, I remember at a show the dealer looked in his book and found the size we needed. Good luck.

Hi. I’m new to caravanning and have just bought an Ace Award Transtar 2005. It came with an awning but no frame instructions. It came from A W Awnings but they have sadly gone bust. Would anyone know where I could find the instructions? I know someone has said they’re all pretty much the same but to us beginners it’s like a jig saw puzzle with no picture! Would appreciate some help.

We are also new to caravanning and have bought a 1993 swift challenger 490 SE Lux. We have looked online for the size of awning we need but it's all a bit confusing. Different sites say different sizes. To save us getting the tape measure out, does anyone know what awnings to get, sizes models etc thanks
