Strewth! Surfer! and I thought we were paying an awful lot near Harrogate......£1400 season, easter to end of October, plus storage til next Easter. Electric extra, paid at the end of season, showers 20p, free heated indoor swimming pool, bar, awnings can stay up! Nice site.
We are on a easonal for our first time this year north of York although we have done the last 2 years as winter seasonals (Sept to january)& we pay £1550 for the year. It closes for 2 weeks end od January. It has a health suite on site which has a hot tub "small" indoor pool & sauna for private hire. We normally go in here a couple of times a year. We did go in the hot tub on new years eve last year & enjoyed a bottle of champers just the two of us, as the kids are now in their 20's, which was very nice.
OH likes to do a bit of fishing & their is a pond on site. The Park & ride into York is just 6 miles away & it takes just 1 hour 15 minutes door to door. I only work Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays so I tend to go every Thursday after work until Monday but have just got home today as youngest daughter is taking me out tomorrow as I am 21 AGAIN on Friday. Love just being able to turn things off & be home in just over 1 hour without the towing & putting back in storage. Will find out about the neighbours later in the year I expect.
We are thinking of buying a large van to live in permanently, and were wondering if we could do that on a seasonal pitch.
I know we would probably have to move off for a month or so, but that wouldn't be a problem.
I see that Surfer1 does this, is it very common?
