this is the advice from the 'we've taken the plunge' thread, this is what we use and so far it has worked fine. We got the wood from the the remnants bit at B&Q and cost 80p

Your require: 1 Board X 44inches long.
2 Boards X 11 inches long.
The wood that I cut was one and a half inches X five inches width.
I've then put a taper on one end of each board to facilitate mounting of each tyre. this then gives me a one and a half inch lift or a three inch lift if short boards are used as well.
Another way is to buy 2 X Fiamma levelling ramps, but you really need twin axle motor mover to do this easily ( or good communication between driver and watcher) Place one ramp either in front of a front wheel or behind a rear one, then motor the wheel up that ramp, when it is nearly at the top place your second ramp so that the bottom of its run up is touching the first ramp, now motor the mover abit further and the first wheel will drop down to the bottom of the next ramp.
You now have both wheels on the bottom of each ramp. Motor or push van up the two ramps together until you are at your desired height.
I've done both with just the towing vehicle and a (loud wife) or on my own with PowrTouch on leading axle only. Yet to try this on my new 4 motor movers.
Happy Caravanning and enjoy it.
