I think this could be more wide spread than originally thought. I know of a new caravan bought in the Sheffield/Rotherham area that lost a wheel on the way home (having driven less than 30 miles). The caravan was an Elddis and the agent is doing an ostrich routine (head in sand/not my problem) It would seem that when the AA recovered them, the AA man commented that he has heard of a number of incidents. Are there any recovery men/women out there who can give any more information?

Thanks George, picking the van up later, a wee bit nervous but we have to get back in the saddle so to speak.

Hi everyone

just arrived back after our first holiday with our new van.  The journey there and back was thankfully uneventful, but even so I wasn't comfotable and couldnt wait until the van was unhooked from the car, (I even noticed OH hands gripping the wheel, although he would try to disagree!!)

We have had probs with the electrics which we need to check out with our dealer.  ie they were blowing the mains, at one point the van was running off the battery but we still couldnt get the sockets to work.....any advice please would be appreaciated.  (we were not overloading as at one point we only had the heating and toaster on and it was a 12amp CC site)

I dont know...new vans eh!!

Lisa...I'm really happy that you got things sorted out with your dealer.  Did you get all your other wheels checked out?
