Is anyone else as excited as me cos the campsite our caravan is on a seasonal pitch on is opening again this weekend? I've really missed going each weekend and am just hoping that it has weathered the winter without any damage.
Ahh well ours used to open tomorrow but now it's the middle of March Can't blame them though, apart from giving them an extra fortnight in Spain!! after the bad starts we've had over the years, the middle of March tends to be easier on the grass?
Yes, very excited - especially because we're going to put the deposit down on our new caravan - not brand new, just new to us! Then we are moving it on to a site that's open all round the year.
we will be there on Saturday opening up the van for another season bracing the East coast winds, and now they have just said that we can expect snow over there Monday and Tuesday, so much for hooping to layiong on the beach watching the birds and seals,
Still it seems ages since we was there last.
------------- "PACESETTERS" German Shepherd dog display team, we are out and about raising money for guide dogs.
Yes have been like a little kid all weekend, soooooooooo excited
phoned them wednesday to ask if we could leave our other van on site when we come down on saturday we with our new van (17yrs or 18 yrs old ) but perfect for us and tow our old one back on sunday when we leave no probs, even having mothers day lunch at the pub, 8 1/2 mths of happy days at Gower south wales i feel as though I could be waiting outside the gates waiting for them to unlock them lol
i carnt wait,we got a seasonal pitch which opens 14 march in the peak district.bought 2004 elddis not so long back and new awning so now im just counting down the days
We had to cancel this weekend away because of the high winds on Friday, we were gutted as it was our first outing of the year and we can't go for another 2 weeks.
Slowly getting wound up. Went to the 'van this morning to check the 12 volt electrics were all OK after a winter of standing around on its storage pitch.
Everything lit up like a christmas tree - better in fact 'cos no bulbs had failed!
