Help

I recently replaced the top control cover on my Truma S3002 blown air heater as the original one was broken...since then the blown air system has stopped working...any ideas as to how I have managed to break it :-( The wires are fine going into the PCB and into the heater at the rear. There is no resistance on the dial for the fan setting and I am wondering if I may have broke the PCB...any help is greatly appreciated. I am at a loss as to how I managed to break it

regards
Phil

Printed circuit boards are very susceptible to ESD (Electro Static Discharge) and can be blown very easily.  If you do any work on or near a PCB make sure you wear an earth strap on your wrist.

It sounds to me that a new PCB is in order.

Thanks Fogey

I appreciate the response. I was guessing the same, as the heater still works but not the fan controls on any setting.

now I need to find one :-) oh the joys

Thanks again

Hi Fogey

I am very pleased to report..

that the problem ended up being a fuse...as an engineer of PCB's in the past I jumped to a conclusion that you did indeed confirmed..I guess they are more resilient these days and let the fuse blow instead

However all's well that ends well and your pics helped the calming process for sure. The inpu equally invaluable to a "Rookie" thanks

All the best

Shoney
