Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help - please - we have deceided that we would quite like a porch awning and have been looking at (on the internet) the Ultima 260, but I am confused about the awning rail height, some say up to 245cms others say 250 cms, we have a Bailey Indiana series 6 and have no idea if this one will fit. We go away soon, so would like to get one before we go and as the caravan is kept in storage can't easily go and measure it.  What happens if the awning goes over a window - is this a problem? We have always used a full awning in the past and we are thinking for a long weekend this would be a better and easier option.

Thanks

Julie

Apart from the obvious answer (you can't open the window... ) there shouldn't be any real problem; the fabric sides will be up against the side of the caravan if you've put the pegs in the right positions...

Hi we have an Ultima 260 and a Bailey Pagaent, there is no problem with the height of the awning rail, and it does'nt cover any windows,I don'nt think you will have a problem.

We have one - the trick is getting the sides nice and tight.  I've sat in there when raining - no problems.

The Porchlite XL is very good. Easy to put up, very spacious (for a porch awning) and folds up into a small bag (poles included)

We have a Ranger 550/6 and an Ultima 390 - no issues at all with the height.

You do need to make sure you peg the sides as far as you can under the van to get a close fit and help stop the flapping - also i sewed an extra guy half way down one side so that i can tie it off on the pull handles on the rear of the van - of course this only works if your entrance door to your van is located towards the rear!!

we are thrilled with our porch awning, and agree with whats been said, it stops the flapping if you can peg as far under the van keeps it tight to the side of the van, we find its bigger than we thought, and so easy to put and take down ideal for the weekend, butg we always take the full awning when we plan to spend more than four nights on one site.
