Hi. I have a 110 amp leisure battery for my caravan.Can anyone recommend a battery tester thats suitable for one of these batteries is an ordinary car 12v battery tester ok for a 110 amp battery. Regards

I suppose it depends on what you mean by 'battery tester'? my Dad's got this little 'stick' with a series of different coloured LED's, these just show the voltage in a 12v battery but makes it suitable for any as long as it's 12v

If you mean a voltage tester you can buy for a few £s-yes they are ok for any battery--a fully charged leisure battery should be 12.8v -if it goes down in couple of weeks when not connected to anything-its past its best--

I think you mean charger. Any type of charger will do, I have a sparkrite - only small but good at charging and telling you the condition. Get one that trickle charges and conditions as this is far better for leisure batteries.

If you mean tester, you can buy voltage indicators quite cheap.

I have fitted one - dead easy job and handy to see what state your battery is in - particularly if you are not on hook up. There is a pic here.
