Ours is best if you start on gas then switch over to electric, it keeps warm on 1K setting, we use the auto setting. 9Pageant Vendee S5).

Part of the heater trunking on ours goes under the van to the rear, so of course it cools, not very efficient! It could do with being insulated. Not the best design IMHO!!

I found that on Electric if you have the fan over about 2 as mention it cools the element down.

This is what i do. Set fan at about 2 and on A (Automatic) Then on the panel on start up i turn stat up fully and on to 2000. After about 1/2 hour turn down to 1000 and set stat about 7 At night i turn fan off and turn down to 500.
