If it was me I wouldn't fit a bike rack to the rear of any van as it would make level loading hard work and would put a lot of stress on the rear wall of the caravan is the Bretagne not the one that can fold the bed up to accomadate cycles and stuff inside the van

IMO I would fit a cycle carrier to the roof of the tow car it spreads the weight down through the car a lot better

I have seen one or two caravans with bike racks on the rear - usually European vans, not British ones.

A couple of years ago, Swift caravans brochures used to mention that there were bike rack fitting points on the backs of their vans - although I've never seen a recent Swift Group van where the owners have done this.

I wouldn't personally do it, as it would be a recipe for instability by adding weight so far back.  Caravans are so flimsy, it seems unreasonable to me to put such a strain on them too.

If it was safe and practical, I think you'd see it on the majority of vans, rather than the odd one or two.
