We have just bought a secondhand caravan which has a Primus 2490 Caravan heater installed. Previous owners did not I think use it at all relying on an electric heater when they needed warmth. Although we have the instruction booklet and followed these we still cannot seem to get any heat through the vents. What does seem to be different to the booklet is where we are told to set the Control Valve but we have not found this yet. Does anyone know where this should be? It says it should be by the Convector inlet pipe. Is this in the caravan or perhaps near the actual boiler.

Help please if you can.

Bit confused here, the Primus boilers all use wet radiator pipes running all the way round the inside edge of the van, you will probably see this as it passes the door.

Once the boilers fired up it takes a while for the heat to come up the walls from under the seating areas. Circulation is mostly by natural convection so an air bubble in the pipe or the van not level will stop the water circulating.
