The difference could be in the quality of the material used.  To get a better comparison, you have to scrutinise the specifications for both awnings. Going on appearances, especially pictorial representation, is no guide at all.

We bought one in february this year, and can quite honestly say are thrilled to bits with it,

We have used it 3 times now and all bar the first attempt goes up really easy, (although we have colour coded the poles with coloured insulation tapes then stuck the corresponding colour on the instructions and laminated them!)

It even stood up to the wind, rain and the snow at easter, Absolutely brilliant! Its based on the Pyramid Tuscany which has some great reviews. We got ours from Caravanstuff4u.co.uk online who again wer're fantastic,.

One thing we thought was great about it is that it has sewn in buckles for the awning tie down which really make a big difference to trying to throw them damn straps over the top!

The only thing we have had to do is buy an awning bag from the local accessory shop for £9.99 as the one that came with it wasn't brilliant and would have been a challenge to get back in to the bag so bought an extra large one

The material used is coated polyester, which is the same as the Bradcot's roof, but sides (of the Bradcot) are more breathable acrylic. Pyramid said the Orion is totally waterproof but more prone to condensation.

It seems like an absolute bargain!

Go for it sue, I htink ours was on offer and it worked out to £345, Not bad at all for what you get, Thos poles on them are also so much better than the old push pop out button jobby TOO.

We've just bought a Pyramid PDQ awning (it rides in a sleeve which is permanently located in the awning rail) for our French tour.  It certainly looks well made.

Hi, we bought a pyramid Orion 3 mtr. in February, put it up 1st March, it stood up to the gales and rain great, it will be up all season ( i hope ) but up to now i have no complaints, it's easy to put up and looks good, but being up all season i put 4 extra roof poles in,

Hi gm4pgv, the extra roof poles was from my old awning, but i think they are available from www.frontier-leisure.co.uk  look on their website or contact them.
