welcome taylor family and dog,i am new to this as well ,my first worry is the weather we are going on first trip to cornwall on monday, but i am such a worrier ,they say its going to snow i panic lol we have heating,i think its the unknown i have to think about ,eg awning, water containers, but so looking forward to it,was anyone else like this.
Hi Hobby
Well we have just got back from our 1st caravanning trip and though it was cold outside in the caravan we were toasty and warm. We had rain, sleet, snow and hail and had 6 (and 2 dogs) of us sleeping in a 12ft 2 berth caravan. Me and dh were going to sleep in awning but it was too cold. I don't know much about the water but i did refill the bottle and stuck the hose pipe back into it then had to pump the water cos our caravan is 30 years old to get it to come up the pipe. Yours probably doesn't even need that as its probably a lot more up to date. I had to keep connecting and disconnecting a clip from the battery just to get the water to come out of the tap lol. My husband is going to fit a switch so that i don't have to do that in future. Two of my kids were sick through Saturday night and in the middle of the night i had to refill the water bottle but it was no problem really. The worst bit was having to empty the sick bucket as we didn't have a loo. I doubt nothing could put us off if that didn't!
Have a wonderful time in Cornwall and do ask help from your fellow campers as everyone we met was really friendly and helpful. We always stopped and had a natter with people on the way to and from the toilets which can be a bit time consuming but very enjoyable.
