We bought it brand new £15,000, other half was just outside getting van ready for our trip away to Sandy Balls on Monday. He has come across damp in our bedroom and the bed was held on by staples and just about to collapse. £15,000 for a fixed bed held together by a few measly staples????
Blimey! Good job he checked it, I'd get down to the dealers straight away, Try not to let it ruin your holiday though, If they can't get it in straight away get it booked in for as soon as you get back.

I'm not sure if we will be able to go away as the bed isn't safe and we wouldn't all fit on the double at the other end of the van and we have no awning.
Lunar were not particularly helpful when we phoned them earlier so we phoned the place where we bought the van and they were not surprised when we told them what was wrong with the van, he had heard of dodgy beds before!
I just can't believe the shoddy workmanship of our van considering what we paid for it. We are extremely disappointed.
I just wish we had kept our Swift, we had no problems whatsoever with that van.

Not wishing to judge.. but I bet the dealer didnt mention this thing they knew so much about when you bought it did they?
No but they are hardly going to list every possible fault or we would have run a mile.
The dealer will put it right under warranty on behalf of Lunar once they have received a report and given the go ahead for the works. That's how it works I'm afraid.
