Sorry to bring this up again BUT.. Our 14month old Swift van has 5 windows, including the three at the front which have misted up between the double glazing this weekend whilst we were away.I have read about taking out the plugs but should we have to be doing this on a newish van? I believe they may be covered under warranty but this is on top of 16+ other faults we have had since new on the van + 60% damp under bedroom window which we are waiting to have fixed.Still not a happy bunny!!!!!

Our year old fleetwood has the same problem, we're leaving the plugs out for a bit. Over easter we got a hairdryer on them but it didn't seem to make a lot of difference. It says in our instruction manual that this is normal and removing the plugs is what to do so I doubt they'll change the windows.

best bet. is to get the crystals in there just to help with the damp.pointless putting heat in the van. wont help matters when the van cools down.

I noticed this on our two years old Challenger 540 last w/e too, on the three front windows. I took the plug out of one of them for a few hours, and the misting disappeared, so I intend doing the same with the other two next w/e. - I believe it's quite common - not just on Swift's.

I noticed over the weekend my windows steamed up on Sprite and i wasnt using it...  going away next week will monitor it..

Went away in our Hobby at Easter and no condensation or windows steaming up inside overnight.  I don't think we have any plugs on our windows - should we have some?

We've walked around caravan sites at the end of warm days, when the sun is still low in the sky but the air is starting to chill - loads of caravans will have misty windows.

I think it is more of a 'feature' than a 'fault' - just the way that plastic double glazing behaves under particular conditions.

Hi i had the same problem on my abbey expression 2004 model, took the plugs out and lost them, LIFE GOES ON

Was told by a dealer that newer vans have thinner plastic which makes the problem worse. If the van is still under warranty then make a pest of yourself at the dealers.

regarding your windows having the fine mist between the double glazed panels the solution to resolve your problem is to leave all windows on night catch. this is an ongoing thing with windows and you will find that the warranty side will not cover this and would recommend you do the procedure to which i have mentioned...you will find it will resolve your problems
