It appears I have just purchased a caravan and some sitting tenants.
The mouse has signs of mice, The prevois owners had the seats re covered and now I know why !
The ground sheet has been chewed to shreds, so about four weeks ago, a filled the caravan with mice traps, NO mice were caught, so thought they may have gone, been away in in twice since and no signs of them, left it for two weeks with traps and no mice caught but mouse poo all over !!!!!
Can anybody suggest what I can do to eradicate them !!!!
Take care if you decide to use poison. Some do contain a mummyfying agent but it takes a while to prevent the smell. From my experience (some 14 years in pest control) you would be better off using your traps. The "Little Nipper" ones are great with a large paddle for them to step on. They do need setting at right angles to walls/skirting as this is where the mice run more. You may find you catch them without even putting bait on them this way. Bear in mind they MUST be eating something, remove this and install a number of traps. A trapped mouse is far better than a poisoned one in my opinion.
Without causing alarm, I would take urgent action as the damage they can cause is remarkable, usually where you cannot see, behind wall boards, cables etc.
I had some in the garage once, trapped one every night with chocolate and a little nipper. Then I found a hole where they were getting in from, filled it and now they are no more. If you aint trapping them, particularly this time of year it looks like theyve got bored of your van!
Fruit, try it, every time the farmer down the road ploughs his field we get inundated with field mice, we trap them with the little nipper laden with pear or banana, catches them real good.
