--Its always suprised me why caravans of this size often have no running water or toilet--I'm guessing its a lifestyle choice of the usual end users of this type of caravan---

How can you prepare food in a caravan that has no sink?

The people that have these vans usually live on sites where each pitch has it's own purpose built outhouse which has the kitchen sink, loo, shower etc in it. 

On a campsite you would use the facilities - many have washing up & food preparation areas for tenters.
