I'm thinking about buying a freedom caravan.
1) Is it possible to have a remote motormover fitted to that type of van.
2) also thinking about a kip (Dutch?)
Can a motormover fit that?
Cheers Steve

I have a Freedom caravan. I can't see any reason why a motormover couldn't be fitted to it, but it is a bit of overkill for such a light van.
I have a powered jockey wheel type mover which runs from the battery of the caravan and it is excellent for moving it around on my driveway. Costs a lot less to buy if you get a secondhand one.
You don't see many Kip caravans about.

If you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel, just keep going till you go round the bend.

Hi we have the sunseeker and there really isn't any need for a mover. My wife who is 8 stone can move ours about and push/pull into position on site easily. The only advantage of a mover would be if you have a very narrow drive or very soft ground to manouver the van on

With a small caravan like a Freedom try fitting an inflatable jockey wheel, makes it very easy to move.

Also think about its impact on your available "payload".
Not that I have any knowledge of your van but some even much larger one are built with pathetically low payload allowances. A mover is typically taking 30 to 40 kg out of the payload.

the mover is great for disabled persons, and due to the fact that the door is on the op side to uk vans it has to be positioned with the draw bar turned into the pitch, if you need the awning up. we are doing a revamp on our freedom microlite sport caravan 520 kg so small car low cost = more hols health permiting lol

I agree and on soft grass or deep gravel can seem very heavy. There is no way with my ticker problem that I could caravan without a mover

Yep Freedoms can have movers on, I used to move mine by hand when I had one but for a small van I did sometimes struggle with it as on my own. People always think you can blow on them and they move. Ha there light but not featherweight.
