Can anyone tell me how to rig up ariel in an eriba pan duo t. Cant see any outlet to run cable through. The last person has left cables but cant see how they got to outside. Dont want to leave windows open.
Trev why not fit an external box - just drill one hole and they look really nice. Other option is to drill a hole in the battery box and get the cable through there. If you dont fanct drilling the wall, then go underneath the van through the floor and fit the box there. There are some pics of one fitted here :
A simple method, which I've done myself, is to drill a hole in the floor of the van - in your case probably in the corner at the rear end of the Pan. Make the hole large enough so that you can glue a short piece of pipe in the hole to go through to the outside. The pipe needs to be large enough to pass the coax connection through. It's simply a matter of putting the cable through as and when necessary - a ten second job when you are setting up. Also, use some sort of cap or plug to block the pipe when not in use.
Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm a bit of a no hoper when it comes to stuff like this but I'm really interested in getting a decent signal on the TV.. I know we shouldnt have the goggle box on out in the wilds but when you have 2 youngsters to entertain when its pouring we need it.. Thing is, I've seen all the threads about satelite and stuff but what I basically want is someone to buy everything for me / fit it and then tell me how much I owe them for the job !!
Any ideas on who would be able to do this and a general idea on price aswell please including the dish and box.. Sorry to be lazy
just got hold of an image aerial with 3 section mast and jockey wheel clamp for £20 off ebay as a back up when the status doesnt get a picture,ie most of the time.
brilliant picture but not tried the freeview box as yet.
Trev - I did the underfloor thing on my old van - you can even put an entry box under floor - however they get mucky and rusty quick. However for those afraid of drilling walls its a better option. Good luck.
mandk_surrey if you can get anywhere near East Yorkshire Ill fit it all for parts and £70. A dish is around £20, a box off ebay about £30. The cable entry point is around £30.
