How exciting and congratulations!
My husband has been trying to persuade me to buy a touring caravan for the last 5 years, but as I was opinionated as Jeremy Clarkson about "caravans on the road" and I would be the one towing it, I wasn't easily persuaded.
However in October2007, in the local newspaper classifieds, my hubby noticed a 20 year old caravan for sale, and asked if we could give it a shot. If we didnt get on, then we could sell the caravan on, without having wasted too much money. What did we have to lose?
So in October, we took off with the caravan to the New Forest. Ever since then I have been infected with "The Caravan Bug" because upon getting home, we rushed out to buy a newer caravan (7 years old)
Been to Bath, Oxford & Cornwall since. Booked up to go away in May Bank holiday, and Yokshire Dales and Moors in August for 2 weeks.
I do hope you have as much enjoyment as us. Each time out is a learning curve, as you meet so many lovely caravanners (is that a word?) who are eager to share tips and offer advice. we just love the freedom.
May you have many happy times ahead with your caravan!
