Hi Brian,
In answer to your question, i can only say that on the two occasions i left our Smart-track tracker device on by mistake, they rung my mobile to say our caravan was moving as hubby was towing it out of our drive, embarrasingly, i had to stop him so i could go in the caravan to turn it off til we'd completed our journey.
I must say i am very impressed with it, and wouldnt hesitate to recommend them. I only wish i had 'bit the bullet' and had mine fitted sooner, the peace of mind is well worth it, and you do get a reduction on your insurance.
Even though our caravan is insured, i really wouldnt want the months of hassle with the insurer's, providing receipts etc for every item claimed for.....and all the while not being able to book a break til i get a replacement caravan.
Also, if you have a recognised tracker fitted to your caravan and it is stolen, the police respond quicker, as they have a guaranteed conviction, because they are told the exact position of the stolen goods!. Most caravans with trackers are recovered before the thieves get inside them, as they take the caravan away to loot it.
Hope this helps Brian.
Warm wishes,
Jane x
