Hi all. I have a just over 1 year old bailey pageant bretagne. First winter in the rain and has had a major leak which soaked the inside of the van and damaged/raised the floor in patches by 3-4 mm. Not happy. Bailey told me that they would dry it out and sand down the floor level. They said they are not responsible for my damaged/soaked/mildew slepping bags and other irtems aswell. This has obviously been faulty since it left the factory. Not to happy with the aftersales at all. Any advice would be appreciated. What should i do. In my opinion this van is ruined. Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm, have you tried ringing Bailey direct and explaining your predicament?  They might be able to intervene.  Check your insurance to see what it says about ruined contents perhaps?

Good luck.

Thats funny just got an email from Bailey telling me they
have virtually eliminated floor delamination and have not
had a claim in the past 5 years for floor delamination
because of new materials used - this after they left the
drain on my bathroom sink disconnected when I used my
van for the first time and floor became (and still is) soaked. I am now worried again.

Like the response you have got from Bailey themselves.Wish Swift had the same customer contact. They don't want to know if you have problems with a new caravan. They tell you to contact the dealer. We are having ongoing problems since new with our caravan. We are not going to give up. We feel we should not have to put up with all the problems we have had with our caravan since new and now damp. We bought a new caravan so we wouldn't have problems!!!! It's a pity beacause we love the caravan and the layout but it's just not the same now. All the excitement we had in saving up and splashing out on a new caravan has gone.It seems as though it has been pulled apart and put together again since we bought it last year. Swift should stand up and be counted. £14000+ is a lot to pay for a faulty caravan. It was sold as a new caravan not as damaged goods.

I had a problem with water coming in the rear offside door last year.Dealer reckoned they sorted it out during its service. On the series 6 there is a tray inside the door with a drain hole in it?? Continuos improvement or customer complaints/dealer feed back?
