Went to a little CL in Gloucestershire - weather iffy but good to get away for the first time this year. Only 3 quid a night and we were the only ones on the sight surrounded by apple trees in full blossom and right by the R. Severn it was lovelly.
We dont normally go away BHs but living in the Lakes theres nothing but traffic jams here all weekend, so we decided to travel 1 hour in the opersite direction to everone else. We had a excellent weekend arrived on site early Friday afternoon, weather was great Friday & Saturday, i even caught the sun. It rained Sunday but that didn't bother us too much. Packed up & left site at 12.30 today & back home with van on drive by 1.30 so no traffic problems for us.

We should have gone to Anglesey but the weather forecast for that area was a bit grim so we stayed at home to work on the caravan. Saturday was wall to wall sunshine, yesterday it rained hard most of the day and today has been overcast with a few sunny spells and showers. About an hour ago it looked like we were in for a thunderstorm but it's brightened up again now.

We hit no traffic going to the New Forest, we managed to pack everything we needed this time, the dogs behaved themselves, the site was beautiful and peaceful and the weather was great! OK, it rained this morning when we were packing up but apart from that it's been a fabulous weekend.
It hasn't rained here this weekend ( unless it was at night ). Went to a show on anglesey today and should have taken sunscreen. I wish we had been able to get away this weekend, but we go away first time this year in 2 weeks. I bet we won't have weather like this then.
went to Hulme end in peak district. Fantastic British weather. it rained pretty well all day Sunday got wet through walking the dog. looked a bit more promising this morning but great it rained. The site was really nice £12 per night and on a spongy field. You can't beat it you know. If you don't like it clear off to the Algarve we don't want you.
i love this country we should celebrate the weather variance. There is always something changing in the countryside. Put your coat on and enjoy.
Looking out from the window of my dry warm house i am so glad we stayed at home this weekend.Rain, rain and more rain,"high season" pitch prices ,traffic jams and diesel at 1.20 per litre,is it worth it anymore? All in all a typical British bank holiday me thinks.
Roll on summer!
I don't believe in weather forecast, I caravan all year round in all weather. I hope you are not one of those people who book site and don't turn up because of the weather.

Great Weather for most of the weekend in Spalding (Lincs). Some overnight rain and a bit on Sunday but otherwise excellant! Surprised at the lack of traffic on A1 and M62 on the way home on a Bank Holiday as well!
