we have an RM212 in our van, on electric, its set between 3&5 depending on the outside temp, we went away on non-leccy a couple of weeks ago and the fridge didnt seem as cold, it kept things frozen, but the fridge wasnt as cold as on leccy (I have managed to freeze things when we first got it!!)
Just wondered if it has to be MORE level for gas than for leccy, we were pretty level but slightly of front back form the perspective of the fridge (only a degree though!)
The fridge always needs to be as level as you can get it, makes no difference what the heat source is whether gas or electric.
I generally find that my fridge performs better on gas though.
I generally set the thermostat at about two thirds. It dosen't matter what the temperature is outside, the thermostat controls the temperature inside the fridge.
When we use gas on weekend rallies we turn it up to full for a couple of hours, to get the fridge sufficiently chilled and then lower the temperature very slightly. Had no problems at all and all contents remain chilled and useable.
