        When charging ......... the dial on the meter will go from  0 to 12 on the meter.

          When it reached 12 i assume the battery is fully charged ?

         But on my leisure battery when the meter reached 12 it starts to drop back down,it does not do this when a car battery has been charged.

 Is there any reason why it only does it on the leisure battery?

a fully charged battery on the caravan will be 13.5 v.a fully charged battery is normaly 12.7v.at 12v is only half charged.less is flat.sounds like you need a new battery if its not holding charge.
