Did anyone go to the CC National Rally at Holkham Hall on the BH weekend? Just wondered what you thought of it - if it was a first time - and whether you would go again?
Our first time - we were very impressed. Everything seemed well organised, spacious lines and plenty to do. We were as a family involved in some of the events, i.e. running, It's a Knockout and the quiz. Having stopped on for an extra night, it was a bit daunting being in the caravan with a flag pole and the thunderstorm directly overhead! Weather overall could have been better, which was a shame, but at least there were no issues with getting off at the end as all roads were fine, no mud or queues really. We'll definitely go again - next year being at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire it's close for us too!

It was our first time too but I think it will be the last. We were put in a field full of mole hills which as you can imagine made the ground somewhat bumpy! - Levelling them just made a muddy mess. The field was particularly exposed (compared to others) and so it was a constant battle with the wind. We had no issues with getting in and out - it wasn't a mass exodus as we had imagined. I know now that I just prefer not to be one of thousands of caravans with 360 degree views of other peoples vans, when I throw open the blinds in the morning. We have to try these things first though!
Our first time too, went with some other first timers and we both said we will go again next year.Understand what silverweb is saying about allocation of .pitches but we were lucky, on a hill with great view of the hall.Talking to someone who has been going a few years the centre lines change so they all get a good spot now and again.
