We were away last week and got talking to a couple they had a twin axle but it had 2 single fixed beds it was brill proper sized single not the bunk size but does anyone know the make/model and do you know of any pros or cons many thanks
Our Sterling has them and they are lovely, but they have discontinued this layout now (l shaped lounge, side kitchen, fixed double beds, end washroom), ours is 2007, we got a good price from a dealer. Eldiss (Explorer group) still make them.
We have the Elddis Crusader Supercyclone, with the fixed singles and end washroom, and I love it! If you have the vehicle to tow it and don't mind a longer twin axle, they're absolutely lovely 'vans.
I think one of the Swift Conquerors had them too, maybe last year, possibly the 655 Lux.
We have a Fleetwood Heritage 560/4 this has fixed single beds and a seperate washroom and a seperate shower cubicle, placed across the centre of the van, so the bedroom is at the back out of the way of everyday living.
The fixed singles are great but are twin axle models. We desperatly needed fixed single on a single axle so we found the answer to be a Senator Arizona with the front chest and backrests from the front dinette removed. This is now made up as two fixed singles. We use the side dinette as the dining area which allows us the large rear washroom which we need as oh is disabled. Still use the beds to loaf on using assorted cushions. Find it works well for us although the beds are not full size 3' width they are 6' 2" long so are perfectly adequate...............Mick

Sheer Bliss.
Hi Gypsy
We looked at the same van over and over again but could not decide on it due to the total lack of room at the front. We loved the layout but found we could not get comfortable. Fantastic bedroom and bathroom facilities but let down by the lounge area. I realise that everything is a compromise but as we don't spend a great deal of time in bed we went for a larger lounge area and a double bed.
Hi 2kias, I don't know if the layout for the lounge has changed, but our seats are deep and very comfortable, I know you can't really lie on them with being the L shape, but if we feel weary we just take the TV into the bedroom, and watch it there, did you know that the beds have a wooden back rest so you can actually sit up in the bed, they are in the bunk under the bed, just lift the mattress and fold out the back rest drop the mattress back and away you go, and by the way it is a single axle van.
