Our Burstner has fixed rear adult bunks and a side dinette that converts to a single. With the front seating converting to a double that gives 5.

We have the Bailey Ranger 550/6. Fixed bunks at back, side dinette (make up bunks if needed).

We have 2 teenagers and it works so well for us - basically we can get up and put the bed away and if the kids want to lay in bed much longer, they are just not in the way.

Hi

We have just purchased a Hymer 535 BB.

It has the fixed bunks as you need and a side dinette that converts to another single if it's needed.

We seached high and low for one of these Hymer's and got the one we wanted!

I have to say that yes the door is on the wrong side with these Hymer's and they're heavy but what a brilliant well built van !!!!!

And more to the point the bunks are 'Man' size !!!  at 2' 6" wide and 6' 6" long...beat that...with growing kids or for adults....Brilliant!

Please don't overlook the German built vans...many of them have what your looking for in their layout.

Happy hunting,

Paul

We have the lunar Quasar 615 and it does what it says, and is light, (ish!)  1600kg loaded.

The washroom area layout was changed for 2006 year so take note if buying used.

HI

We are looking for the same layout on a twin axle, i have spoken to local dealers and they have told me that they did this layout in 2006 and that was only year they did it because it was not a good seller, Swift 650 LUX and also sterling and Ace. There are a few on caravanfinder.co.uk.

Hi

Our Hymer 535  is a five berth with the layout I previously mentioned, although there is only three of us we use the single bunks and single dinette made up for sleeping and then close the bedroom area off for the day, leaving no beds to make every night, it's great !!!

Happy hunting,  Buy German !!!! We've had two now and never had any damp problems.

Paul

Geist AK565 - basically a  German van (built by LMC) with some UK fripperies

Has a very large front double made with roller slats, side dinette and two very sturdy fixed bunks opposite the side dinette (take 80kg's) giving 5 berths

Full width bathrpmm at the reat with a very large seperate shower (quite unusual to have a large full width bathromm with the fixed bunk design)  Can be had for quite good prices at the moment as Geist UK look a bit wobbly, not really a problem for purchasers as the warranty is backed by LMC not Geist, and Geist have a very poor reputation amongs their former dealers for warranty assistance anyway - many just used to deal directly with LMC in Germany because Geist UK were so unhelpful

Hi

Just to add... we have the Adria 542uk (mentioned earlier).  Fixed bunks and side dinette/single at rear.  Less than £10k new and a dream to tow at 1035kg unladen - 265kg payload too.

Beds are the biggest we've seen - all will sleep an adult - though can't say I fancy the top bunk much!!

Sue
