Hi Mike,

So much has been written about movers, I would be in danger of going over old ground. Do a search and you will find loads of info.  For my part, I have fixed Reich movers which are terrific. They add about 35-40kg to the weight of the van, but the weight is cancelled out by the total lack of stress getting the can on and off the drive, onto the exact point I want it on site, and the abilities, to a degree, to level the van without too much stress.  before changing to the 4x4 recently, I was able to 'drive' the van off waterlogged grass fields, where my Mondy would have failed at the first hurdle. My personal thoughts are that the fixed movers outweigh the hitchdrive types in terms of convenience and performance, and are well worth the expense. Mine were fitted new, but there are some good used movers out there too!

Dont worry about investing in a fitted mover.

6 weeks ago we bought an Enduro (on wizards recommendation) My OH fitted it himself What a great piece of kit. Now we have bought a new van. So what about the mover. Dead easy the dealership is transferring it onto the new van FOC. Now if we had bought another make we might have had a problem because the new van is much heavier than the old one but the Enduro will move anything up to 1800kgs. So no problem their either.

Get one. honestly you will not regret it.

We have got a powrtouch mover, must admit they are great but at the moment ours doesnt want to work, so trying to sort that out.

We've got the Powertouch fitted Mike, it's not a problem to keep it for a future van should you decide to chage vans. Go to a dealer & have a look at their demonstration uit, you'll soon see how easy they are to fit. Good bit of kit though, I'm well pleased with ours.

I would personally go for the cheapest you can find,  We have the rhyno and it is well engineeered with a 5 year warranty.  It has the best ground clearance and the lowest weight - 29kg.  The gearing is constructed using proper metal gearing unlike the nylon gears used by some that can slip under load when worn.

Purpleline endurro look good value at the moment.

purpleline enduro fitted to abbey vogue 470    it had to be replaced after less than a year   but working well at the moment

using it is very easy uphill down dale  on grass on tarmac   you name it  it works

but why did it go wrong/
