Anyone use a wind turbine to charge up their caravan battery whilst on a site with no hook up i.e. a club rally meet
i just want to know it is a possibility to use one ..i suppose it would get nicked anyway ..just a thought as we put a few windmills out for the children to watch spinning on our rallies...not into flags and poles yet
Anyone living where there are yachts will be quite used to seeing these mounted on boats rails, keeping their batteries charged up.
I an told that they are too noisey to be used on caravans and even mounted on a guyed pole away from the van, there is a certain amount of whirring noise from them.
some of the cheaper one are very noisey, they sound a bit like a wind up torch or lamp, and you need a good windspeed to get 1 amp about 20 mph,and I think they have been banned in some marinas because of the noise.
------------- Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.
Pete.
