Hi,
We are looking for a caravan- had a motorhome for (7 yrs). We were looking at Bailey, but have seen an Ace Jubilee Statesman (twin axle) that we like. However we know nothing about the company.
What is Ace like, where are the built? How is the customer service /build quality.
We would be looking into getting a mitsubshi L200 To tow with.
The statesman brochure says Max tech laden mass is 1685kg.
We are new to this so any help is really appreciated.
Thanks
My daughter had a brand new Ace 540 (i think )for 1 year did'nt like it took it in to be part exchanged against a new sterling when the dealer check it over it had damp over the door.so just be aware.I believe Ace are made by swift.no doubt someone will tell you if i am right or wrong.

Ace, Abbey, Sterling, Sprite, Bessacarr and Swift are all made by Swift Group in the same factory.
Single axle models in 17 minutes and twins in 35!! I timed it and if you blink you miss it.
They all get built going up the same lines, two for singles two for twins and another on the far end for motorhomes, same bits same people build them regardless of the badge on the front.
Yep agree, all made in the same place, We have been impressed with our swift group van, a swift, have looked at the aces but it was mainly down to us preferring the interior colours of the swift,
Wouldn't hesitate in buying one if we found one we liked. Have spoken to a number of ace owners and they all love them
Hope that helps

The modern Swift Group is a bit like the old BMC, I know, showing my age!! It's basically 'badge engineering'.
If you look at a Group model but maybe don't like the upholstery or the colour of the wood, look at the corresponding models in the other ranges and you'll see basically the exact same caravan but with different upholstery and colour of the woodwork, and a different badge and graphics on the outside.
We are a swift fan and yer we would suggest to check out the web site. You do get good build. once you have made your choice then select your dealer wisely as you get better service form some dealers and not another. You also get some good deals. We have just got a new one and had £500.00 worth of goodies thrown in and a mover on top!!!!!!
We have just been on a Swift factory tour. Using the pre-assembled modules and the pre-built sides, ends, floors etc, it takes about 8 hours of work to put a van together. But in total it is obviously much more than that. No way is it 17 or 35 minutes!!
The tour was very interesting. They do one every month, so if you are interested you can book one. There is a presentation first and a lovely buffet lunch afterwards, so it is a good day out.
There's just over 600 people involved in the production of each van but at the end of the day there's been one single axle and half a T/A rolling off the production line every 17 minutes!! staggering I know but how many cars do Ford or Toyota build a day??
I went on the first factory trip and they bragged about it, I wanted to see a roof go on one but somehow I was distracted for a moment and missed it more than once!
Worse perhaps, I'm told by HTMBO that we are not buying a new van?
suits me
I know you enjoyed the lunch though? that is yum-me
