hi

am new to this forum but not the site am looking at a caravan an Elddis Wisp 300 1992 model .

its a tidy little van but has no awning we would like an awning that could be slept in by one or two persons

has anyone any ideas of which awning would fit

I have an awning on my Elddis Wisp and it more than doubles the size of the van.  There would certainly be room to hang in inner tent in there.

edit: not sure what's happened to my link.  Have a look at the Features/Tips tab at the top of the page and there you will find an article on measuring up for an awning.

my awning is fairly old,I think it's a Tri Sombreo or something like that.  Old fashioned heavy canvas but works well.

I'd check that awning rail length if I was you, I'm sure mine is 780. 

My Wisp is 350/2 if I recall correctly, which implies a 3,5 metre body length.  The awning rail is about 2.3 metres high so very roughly.... 2x2.3 + 3.5 = 8.1 or 810 so pretty close.

If the same rule applies, one might infer that your Wisp 300 had a 3.0 metre body length so your awning rail length could well be 0.5 shorter than mine.

Enough of all this maths and speculation though, see if you can pop out and measure it as recommended in the article.
