  Hello all , I hope someone may be able to help me , I require new caravan tyres 175r13c load rated 94n or above , local supplier suggests Maxxis 8 ply 97s load rated .Just asking if anyone knows anthing about these tyres before I decide on witch make, or a better recommended brand .-- Steve .

I've never heard of them SJM10. Reading your thread made me go out & look at ours though, they're trailermax & I see they were made in China. It'll be interesting to follow your thread & see what comes of it.

i would get MAXMILLER 8 PLY  if can, about £80 fitted and balanced, do not forget balance.6 ply are good if the vans not to heavy. additional info on tyres

I have to say everything I've heard is good about Maxxis and they've been designing tyres for years, they pride themselves in having made tyres from push bikes to giant earth movers.

I would still say get GT Maxmilers if you can as these I'm sure are good, very short supply though!

I have used this co for trailermax tyres - 1st class service. 

Although I tried loads of places in and around Cardiff, none supplied trailermax which I needed.  So I used the above and got a local tyre place to fit.

 Thanks all for the info . Well today I had fitted the Maxxis tyres at £ 38.00 each with no charge for the tyron bands refitting . Maxxis and GT maxmilers where the same price and MR TYRE convinces me the Maxxis where the better option . What they did also say was its better to have your caravan tyres over specced , ie bigger load rating , so you can put higher tyre pressure in than recommended/ normal pressure , so if you accidentally go over your caravan maximum weight limit MGW ( etc ) . Its apparently quite common for caravanners unknowingly to tow with overloaded vans and this is one of the reasons why ( according to tyre sevice information ) caravans have tyres " blow outs " whilst travelling . -- Steve .
