This is all proving interesting to me, we bought our Lunar last year because it was the only model with the layout we needed I could find at the time, and the new ones had shower cubical rather than wet room in used models.

I know it was £15k inc awning and spare wheel which is more than the bailey and others but it came with everything that people have added on this thread, from microwave, radio, hitch, door screens, loose carpets, rear heating and sockets, in fact not found an extra to add to it yet!

So although we agonised for days over the cost of it at the time  i am begining to think it was a bargain!

Macarw - Cheers for the heads up on the table. I have only travelled table up so far with no probs but I would be gutted if it broke.

Pagen - Not used the shower yet and probably wont. We always use the site facilities probably because our last caravan never even had a shower and we are used to it. I would imagine it is useable but claustrophobic especially for my 6 foot of clumsy bulk. I would be prepared to use the caravan shower if we went to a CS site.

We haven't used the shower yet either.

We went for the smaller washroom as friends of ours had a van with a big washroom and shower and never used it due to hassle of collecting/empying water, and also worries about damp, and we thought we'd be the same, and as yet have not needed to use shower. Can't be bothered with wiping down all the surfaces which will probably get splashed afterwards.

Didn't think about the carrying water issue

I'm going to stick with a Ranger, can't go wrong really and any extra can go towards something to pull it. Our car is on its last legs over 185,000 miles so looking to change.

Expensive month I think

You won't go far wrong with a Bailey - we love ours - my friend and I spent ages looking at caravans before we both went out and bought new Rangers.

Service from our local dealer has been absolutely excellent too
