We bought a 2nd hand tabbert t at b in May. Its so easy to tow and loads of room ..we have the awning but there is just about room inside to sleep 2 dogs and two adults if you take out the table and sleep at the back of the van...depends how tall you are.

I am looking at a freedom clubclass. When you say 'small car' what do you mean. I am pondering whether our focus 1,8 will be ok with a lightweight caravan, i also like the lunar chateau 400, but am scared to risk it, and can't really get any definitive answers anywhere! I have looked on what tow car, and although we have 2 green stars, it still says we would have problems with hill starts.

We just brought a Freedom Sunseeker, 750 kgs fully laden, and have towed it to Cornwall and back last week with a Focus 1.4, no probs at all, bit slow up couple of hills (and some were steep!) But it was fine, we are off to France in 10 days and I'm not worried at all! so I am sure you would be fine!

We found out how much we could tow from the big camping shop called Discover, they can put your car model through their computer and it will come out with the max weight.

So I am sure you would be fine

Thanks for that MZZY, we went to stafford last week to look at the freedom range, however one small ! problem, my husband is 6ft 3, and couldn't stand up in them, so we are looking at the caravelair/sterckemans that they had in there, they told us that our 85% is 1050kgs, so we can find some 4 berths at that weight, so I think we will continue looking!

Ahhh yes that would be a prob, me and OH are both shortish 5' 7 but showed a friend of mine ours and he couldn't stand up straight as hes over 6 ft tall, shame that tho cos they are brill for the money!

When you look at a van, the weight should be on a little plate by the door, so you can make sure its ok for you, you prob know this, but I didn't and we have had a caravan before!

Hi Andy,

I've just placed an ad in the "free adverts" sections of this webby to sell my Camplet Concorde. I'm not a million miles from Blackburn if you wanted to have a look. My email details are on the ad.

 Advise wanted !!!!

I have at the moment a 2yr old concorde camplet but am considering an Eriba Puck for a few reasons .... I can store the Eriba at home,it looks easy to tow with my small car, quicker for over night stops & hopefully extend the camping season ( I'm so not looking forward to Winter )

My main problem is that I can't get to see a puck so will be purchasing blind off E-bay so any hints on buying would be appreciated !!!

Please tell me  ... is it as easy to tow as the TT, will I feel cramped if not able to use the awing, is it ok to use in winter & what other things should I consider ? or do you think I should stick with the camplet? there are two of us plus two dogs.

HI.... two persons and two dogs in a Puck, sounds like it's beeing too crowded..........

Henning
