We have a new avondale 630/6 and noticed everytime we use the oven the gas goes out unless we leave the door open slightly, we have to wedge it open with a wooden spatular we thought it was the direction of the wind to start with but it still did the same when there wasn't any. The gas bottle is full and we have purged the gas so there is no air in line, has anyone got any ideas as we don't want to take it back to the dealers as we have now sited the van in devon nearly 200 miles away form home.
Do you have a glass lid over your hob I wonder, if so try lifting it fully open as there is a safety cut out when glass cover is down. Hope this will be of some help. Have a nice holiday.

It does sound like your oven isn't getting enough air to allow the gas to burn properly , check you don't have air vents blocked in the caravan . There's normally a vent under the oven .
Be careful of cutting the door seal, it may well burn the cabinet where the gap in the seal is, had this happen at home when there was a slight gap in the oven seal.
This is a known fault albeit sorry I don't remember the solution!! something to do with ventilation at the back of the oven me thinks
Basically the flame is starved of air/oxygen and while holding the door ajar works it's obviously not the correct solution, neither I would say is cutting the door seal?
Hi julie we had this problem I found out it was because my pans in the compartment were blocking the vent, moved the pans and solved the problem. Hope this helps.
if you are going to cut the seal cut at the bottom as hot air rises it draws more air from the bottom and would stop any heat damage if you cut it else where.
i was going to say what wildie suggested ..seems a logical conclusion to cut a half inch gap in the centre of the seal at the bottom ..although i'd try moving the pans out of the storage area first ..
