azusuk1...I envy your bells and whistles system, but I don't know how I'll fit the 60" high definition, widescreen , surround system in the van....especially once I've fitted the whirlpool bath
Looks good to me , i've saved the link to my favorites ( possible future upgrade ) . I'd still check that your roof can take the weight , if i was fitting it i'd get some ali plate and bond it to the caravan so it would spread any load over a wider area .

We were at Bashley site and along came a new Bailey Ranger with an square auto satellite dish on the roof. The dish was moving up/down/round for about 15mins then stopped. About 30mins later it started all again, and then it folded down after a while....
Not sure of the make but it seemed to me that the dish was having a hard time locking onto a satellite or he/she was searching for other satellites to lock onto and or got fed up with searching!

Good Bye To Our Abbey Spectrum 520, Hello To Our Elddis Crusader Cyclone
We have a Camos dome satellite receiver fitted on the roof of our caravan - great bit of kit, takes about two minutes to lock on to a satellite, uses no power once it is locked on, not affected by wind, rain or snow. Can be moved easily to another van should we change. Worked well in Europe (Southern Alsace, Eifel Mountains, Luxembourg and Holland). for us it is worth the cost as is a caravan mover.

it looks ideal , but i was just thinking we were on a pitch in vilanova in spain and there were lots of trees about for shade , we wouldnt have got a picture with a roof mounted satellite , but with our portable unit we were able to mount it on a tree trunk , and had a perfect picture for the month we were there , thats my only concern is the static position on the vehicle
