Somtimes we have got a very good reception throught the status with the digi box and got all the channels and then gone back to the same sites and had to use the external aerial because we cannot get a signal at all?  I think you may be better off getting one just to be sure.

We have one where the bracket fits to the A frame and then we slot the aerial into that, it works a treat.

As Ian says . we did use status but found channel break ups etc. so bought external ariel and telescopic pole fitted to clamp off jockey wheel , i then fitted external socket to caravan wall so that way did not need to open window to bring lead in . works great in sunny ( i wish ) devon .
