Hi all

Please could you help me out here with some general caravan basics.

Im due to take my first weekend away to a site in Wales with ehu and have twin electrics connected from my car to my caravan. I need to know what i put the switches too inside my caravan while towing and then once im on a site with ehu piped into my van.

The switch im refering too in my dart caravan are the vertical switch that can be pushed up for "car" or down for "van" while showing the battery strenth indicator, green red or yellow i think lol, above them when depressed to whichever i choose. i can also leave it level with no choice made. What do i choose when towing and want the fridge to work and what do i choose when im on ehu once i have disconnected the car leads to the van. Sorry for being numb guys and girls its just im a caravan newbie and need your help.

Thanks in advance

Daz

The fridge should work ( towing ) no matter what the position of the switch .
The middle position is 12 volt off ( just so you know ) , i use the off position when my caravan is in storage ( saves the battery from going flat after 3/4 weeks ).
When towing and on site set it to van .
The car postion is if you wanted to use your car battery to power your caravan 12 volt system , you'd have to connect your 12s plug to the car for this .
