well thats what you get on commercial sites after the morning rush at least on C.C sites the members think of other members who may be using the facilties after them after all its just common courtesy something lacking in todays society another reason why i wont set foot anywhere apart from C.,C or C&CC sites
That's what you get on SOME commercial sites. They are the ones which ALWAYS have pitches.
The three dirtiest, worst equipped sites we have ever pitched on were C&CC ones.
The two pokiest were CC.

As a family we have used cc sites this year and i must say that our experience is of well run, very tidy, clean and quiet sites. If this ever changes we will not renew our membership. CC knows this so i recon that is why they are so family friendly. But to be fair the cc sites do seem to lack character. But i would rather stay at a bland site that is safe, secure and quiet site than one that is noisy, insecure private site. I am sure most private sites are nice, but i know all cc sites are nice. Peace of mind costs us the annual membership fee, and to us it is worth it. But each to their own

CC are impressive but are now pricingf themselves out of the market as a pitch for a night is now cheaper at a lot of commercial sites. I thoughtthe CC were a club for their members!

Find Chatsworth CC site very expensive at peak times(school holidays). It's probably to pay for the refurbishment of the toilet/shower block.

Have the prices went up ? if so there has not been any announcements from the club about an increase even if they have went up i doubt if it will discourage people from using there sites

I have used quite a few private camp sites. Some cheapies are surprisingly good (friendly, quiet, clean), whereas others that have oddly been more expensive have been inferior. Seems like a bit of a lottery to me so when it is our annual holiday we use cc sites so we know it will be an enjoyable experience. An extra few £££s for a lovely week away is well worth it to our family as the fees are still way cheaper than boring self catering or restrictive hotels!

Well, I know things are getting tough financially at the moment, but I didn't think they were as bad as this.
Just back from a short break on a CC site, and the warden told me that they had just had a toilet brush stolen - from the ladies loos. Not only that, but they regualrly had loo rolls taken.
So, if the guilty party is reading this, the warden would like to say that if you are that hard up she would have gladly have given you a new one!

If you mean the wardens, then I can assure you that they most certainly were not, and couldn't believe it either. In fact, a plastic swing bin had been taken from the laundry room a few weeks earlier, and they also tell me that loo rolls by the dozen are taken.
I've heard of the same thing happening from pub loos, but not from CC sites before. but hey, how do we know, maybe its a widespread problem.
