Stewart Longtons in Blackpool are brilliant, We bought our van there and will be returning to change  when we decide although we live about 150miles away

although never used 1 in your area you have a discover and i just got mine from there i can highly recommend the york branch obviously dont know how your branch is !! took delivery of my new van noticed a fault on door because we were going away they went in another new van and removed the door as bailey would take 2 weeks yo deliver so hey thanks!!!!! but would have waited 2 weeks ... i do belive there cheapest van is 3995 as they have an 08 pagent parked on road side with a sticker on side saying caravans from 3995 good sales ploy !!!!! got my wifes 10k out for a new van!!!!!

I would look for a private sale. You will get more for your money and maybe a few extras thrown in.

Thanks for all the replies. It looks as if JR Leisure will be top of my list to visit. I will let them know that they are well thought of. If I dont get any joy there I think I will look to the private sales. I am just a bit worried about buying privately. So any top tips would be gratefully received, I shall search this site for any threads.

Hi there .. We would recommend the Redlion Caravan Centre Ltd in Ormskirk.  They sell new and used caravans, are very helpful and the used caravans come with a 3 month warranty.  We have purchased from this company and have been well satisfied with their services, they also offer advice on maintenance, equipment, etc.,

well...we've now collected our van from JRleisure (castlecroft - Radcliffe) and been on our first weekend away....which was fantastic!  When I picked it up, I told them I knew absolutely nothing about caravans, and Trevor and John kindly spent 2 hours educating me and handing over the van. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and I'm very grateful.

Glad you got yourself sorted.  I think its swings and roundabout when choosing a caravan, either private or dealers.  Always advisable to go with others epxeriences though .. happy caravanning GH02.
