We have a Pageant burgundy Series 6 and have had a few problems matching an awning to the van.We were wondering which awnings anyone else has on their Pageant Burgundy. We know the awning rail size(1008cm) and have a size 15 awning from sunncamp,we also know that this is not the best buy but were rushed into buying it last year just before our trip to spain as the ventura atlantic we bought on e-Bay was mis-sized by the seller. We want to make sure before we spend any more money that we get the right awning this time....help please!

We have a series 6 Burgundy and like you bought the wrong size, the awning we have fits although  a bit neat it is a 1000cms venturer however as we are changing to a new  Motorhome next year i wont bother changing it now

i think a 1020 would be more appropriate for the Burgundy

We had the same problem with our new series 6 bretagne, which is also a 1008 awning rail, earlier this year. We discovered that bradcot do a 1005cm size which has just come out this year. We tried the 990 which was to short but the next size up, a 1020cm was too big. Our dealer contacted bradcot and arranged for a 1005cm to be delivered direct to our house and it fits perfect.

Thanks Michael,I have looked at the Dorema site who now list size 14/15 differently. Is there anyone who can tell me the make and size they have on the same van as us? It would save a lot of time and hassle if they could and would be greatly appreciated.

please!

I don't know if this helps or not. Our van has the same awning length (1008cm) as yours and we have a size 15 Dorema Montana awning. It is a perfect fit. We used to have a Series 5 Pageant Provence and had a size 14 Dorema Calypso awning for it but it was a bit too short for the Series 6 Senator which has a steeper front awning rail due to the changed shape of the van, but in actuallity this van is the same (or very similar) length as our previous one. I hope that makes sense!!

Hello Gary

When we bought our pageant series 5 provence, I rang Dorema, the man there was superb, he told me what size awning we needed, we went through the spec & with his adice built up a nice package. It was delired to the house within two days & fitted the caravan like a glove.

Sorry to be late answering i thought that this thread was over

Dave..the awning looks fab, do you have any issues regarding rain? i mean does the roof fill with water in a storm? ours does and its a pain.

Basilbrush..thanks I am looking into a Dorema awning now, hopefully going to see one this weekend.

pattinson Family..thanks but just now the bradcott is a little too expensive

best regards

No, the roof doesn't fill when it rains. Because of the length of the awning, there are an additional two poles (ie five in total) from the van to the front, and two more verticals at the front to the ground.  All the front and end panels are removable - which is great for erecting it, as only have the weight of the roof to thread through the awning channel.  Also not so much for the OH to hang onto when its windy, when I'm putting the poles in and tensioning etc.

We also have an Isabella porch awning (came with the last van).  Definite difference in quality compared to the Dorema (thickness of material etc), but helluva lot more expensive.   Where the Isabella is also better is having tensioning tabs for the vertical poles to be placed into - this makes erecting much easier when its windy.  With the Dorema, its sometimes necessary to put a tempory peg at the front corners, just to hold it down.  Perhaps if someone from Dorema reads this, might be a product improvement to consider - and not very expensive addition either

Did you buy the awning Gary. My buyer turned up & took our van, he couldn't run to the complete outfit so our Dorema Senator lux is now for sale, it's the blue/grey one has all the available extras on it including tall matching annexes with inner bedrooms & is size 14. Fits a Bailey pageant provence series 5 like a glove.

It's 26 months old & been used 5 times from new.The only holes in it are a few in the bottom of the mudwal to pin it down.

Anyone have any idea what it's worth. If I can't get a good price for it, I'll leave it in the attic until we buy another van, that'll probably be a year away though.

Hi - we’ve recently purchased a Bailey Pageant Bordeaux S6 2007 - the sizing says 930cm but not sure with other comments - any recommendations as to which awning is best?
