Hi there

I will try to provide as much info as i can but im afraid i am a total novice with caravans (this being our first one) and we have absolutely no manuals at all to be able to refer to.

My husband and i bought a coachman mirage 1993 caravan a few months ago.

The 1st time we went out everything was great and working.

The 2nd time we went, after about an 1hr our water stopped flowing.

We have a carver heater/system.

We have replaced the pipe that sits in the water and clips onto the side of the caravan (i told you i was a novice didnt i LOL) but still no water.

We have clicked buttons, pushed, shoved & very nearly kicked and we still can't get the water to run.

I think my husband is about to internally combust! he's replaced fuses and things but still nothing!

If it helps at all http://www.c4caravans.com/touringcaravan-coachman-ceredigion9029.php this is a picture of the same caravan that we have.

I'd be so grateful if anyone could offer any advice at all - i know that my post is a bit vague.

Many thanks

Carol

We had a 1998 Mirage, have you had a look at the external water feed ? Our water used to stop in mid flow because of a loose connection and all it took was a new washer to fix the problem. If it is the same problem you will  see the water dripping outside the van and you will hear the pump kicking on in the middle of the night even though you aren't using the water.  Hope this helps

Either a loose connection on pins where the pipe plugs into the side of the caravan , or a failed pump . Or faulty micro-switches .
Do you hear the pump working ? but get no water .
Check the pump by connecting the 2 pins on the end of the hose ( use some lengths of wire ) direct to the battery ( only do it for a split second , just to confirm the pump spins ) .
If the pump works ok check the pins are making good contact where they plug into the side of the caravan .
How many taps do you have in the caravan ? if more than one , do they both not work .
Let us know how you get on .

Many thanks

Sorry, didnt realise there was another post

We have a brand new pump and we've also kept the old one.

The pump is making no sounds at all.

We have a set of taps in the bathroom and one set in the kitchen area - neither work.

Again sorry for the simple terms, jiggle the connection about a bit and see if it does any good. Failing that empty the water tank, and start from the beginning and open the taps one by one as instructed. Whatever happens don't let the pump run for more than a minute or so if the water doesn't come through.
