HI ALL & TY FOR YOUR KINDESS & HELP:
The seller lead me to believe it was a 1997 and for the £1250 he was asking i was well interested, But the age was not confirmed, I asked for the VIN, He gave me a number which wasn't the VIN, I rang him & explained my interest providing I could get confirmation of age & that I was enquiring with ABBEY (Manufacturer's) & this forum to get the date and then if everythings OK I would buy it.
However several Kind Forum Users alerted me too the fact that the Van was more than likely a 90/91 So I emailed him to ask for the Etched number on the windows & to tell him it may be 6 years older than he was telling prospective buyers.
He rang me just after to confirm it is a 91 model but swears its worth the money he's asking. Several users on the Forum have told/advised me that a more realist price woild be around £800 so I have walked away on this occasion
Its been an eye opener, The seller sounded like a genuine person & I believed he was being genuine till I told him I was unsure the age was correct & that I was going to verify before buying. Then he seemed to know it all already - Hhhhhhhhhmmmmmm!
Nevermind eh? But thank you thank you to all that replied, Im eternally grateful & humbled.
Regards & best wishes
