We are looking for the impossible I think!
Want to buy a VERY light, vintage caravan that can be towed by a classic, 44 year old Mini.

Have seen a couple of pictures in caravan magazines recently of tiny little vans made in the 30s/40s/50s one of which was parked beside a Mini and another being pulled along by hand!

We are wanting to visit some classic car shows with the Minis next year and would love to track down a caravan to match!

Anyone know where I might find the name/maunfaturer of such a van and where I might have a chance of actually finding one?

Alternatively, is it possible to build your own caravan?
We saw the most amazing "Guiness" can caravan attatched to a trike at a show recently but unfortunately the owner was nowhere in sight or I would have been boring him to death with a million questions!

Any advice or help would be much appreciated!

We first got into camping at mini shows.

We wanted to tow our first caravan with our mini clubman estate but we struggled to get a suitable tow bar for it - the tow bar that was available was too low.  You should have more luck with a standard saloon.  We then tried a BMW Mini (sacrilege I know) and found the cost of the tow bar to be prohibitive.  So we copped out and got a "proper" car. 

So I very much hope you find something, and look forward to seeing some pics on here soon!

Will look at the Mini Glen and the Cadet (a long shot I know but there must be one out there somewhere) and hubby found the home construction link mega useful so thanks for that mickeyb.

There is a picture of my Mini in my gallery images - would SO love a caravan to match her!!
