Hi All,

Last year a new caravan make/type was launched. Featured at the 2007 end of year shows.

It was called the exel/excel - something like that.

The designers used CAD and standardised manufacturing - or so the pitch went - to make it more cost effective.

Can anyone help me out on the name of the 'van?

budget van from the group that make Elddis and Compass. Nice well built vans, BPW chassis with the winterhoff stabiliser. Good spec. had a look at one today when i was picking mine up after repairs

We were undecided between the Xplore and the Spite Alpine at the recent Caravan show at the NEC, it was only down to the dealer on the Xplore stand not being willing to take our folding camper in p/x that made us go for the Alpine. The Xplore is a really nice van with plenty of room inside and had some nice features. We were looking at the 2 berth and the kitchen was a little short on worktop space, but the clever use of "chinchilla" glass on the hob and sink gave extra room. If you're on a budget the Xplore is definitley worth having a look.
