Sadly no news on the crocs Our insurance insisted we have a tracker fitted this time. It had to be Gold Sold Secure, so we now have a monitored system.
First time I've heard of a tracker system fitted to a pair of crocs! What sort were the others then, 24carat gold??

I am so pleased that the out come was in your favour. It will take time to replace everything that you lost and it will be awhile before you find out all the things that are missing. It took us ages to a just to the new van and I still find that I am looking for things that we stolen with the van.
No thanks to the police. Apparently it had been travelling eastbound on the M62 when it crashed. The thieves ran off leaving a jeep and our smashed up caravan down an embankment. We have just recieved a letter from the recovery company who had been instructed by the police to dispose of the property. The police were involved from the start, and I am absolutly disgusted with West Yorkshire Police. If there are any members on here you should be ashamed with yourselves. This incident occured 5 days before we reported the van stolen, and no one contacted us despite there being plenty of material showing our name and address. Not only that we could have been lying somewhere nearby injured. They did not try to ring. In addition to our name and address on papers, our storage pitch marker was also in the van, and displayed our car registration. The towing jeep plate was an unregistered number. Anyway we now await recovery back to our area and see if we can salvage anything. Here's hoping. But it has been stored outside for 2 months uncovered so there will be little worth salvaging. But at least we know the thieving scumbags didn't get our van. And lost what was probably a stolen jeep and hopefully a mighty headache.
Bob - It's good to know that your caravan has been found, but obviously not in the best of circumstances. What a nightmare for you - I can imagine how you must be feeling, knowing that this all happened before you even knew it was stolen, yet nobody informed you. Were the theives caught? What an absolute cock-up - I don't know if you feel like pursuing the matter, or even if you could take it further, but I know if it happened to me I would want some answers.
I know you've got a new van but that's not really the point here is it? Jeez, what a dreadful mess - you have my sympathy, do let us know what you manage to sort out.

Thanks. I will let you know what happens. As far as I know the thieves ran/hobbled off, and have not been caught, leaving the scene abandoned. I don't have all the details, only what the recovery man has told me. Guesing it will be into the new year when we finally get to see the wreckage and see what we can salvage. Apparently it now looks like a flat pack .
I have sent a letter to West Yorkshire Police. I eagerly await their response. I feel mad as hell by what appears to be their lack of due diligance, but I will wait and see, and if I can take it further I will. Some of the property probably could have been salvaged if it had not been left out in the rain and snow for 2 months, never mind all the other stuff.
Thats what I am hoping. You never know. At least they are plastic so should survive being outside. Until we see it we don't know what was in it. Maybe the thieves emptied the van before setting off down the M62. They ran off, so my guess is that they had others travelling in convoy, who stopped to pick them up. They may well have picked up stuff they thought they could flog down the pub etc. Not everything will have been destroyed. We will just have to wait and see.
