Thats the point!

We were out! In the sunshine and fresh air!

There is nothing to do in the garden so why not wash the van? It is good exercise to work off the Xmas pud etc. With it being parked on the front drive, we have to keep up appearances havent we???

Why do you put up with wet freezing fingers?

Many years ago when we owned caravans I bought a brush that fits on a telescopic pole to wash the motor caravans and later the caravan.

The head looks like a very soft sweeping brush, about
45 cms wide, but when in use the middle of the brush is in contact with the paint surface.

It is dipped into a rectangular plastic bucket and washes cars and windows/paintwork just as well as caravans. The bristles carry a lot of water and search out the dirt in grills and corners. It is also excellent on wheels and windscreens.

My car gets a quick wash with it, about 2 a week at this time of year, followed by a rinse from a watering can and in warmer weather I even use a wash leather to dry it off.

My main point is I have not got wet hands from car washing for some 20 years.

Edward

I've got one of those cleaning brushes,  but find it doesn't have the strength to remove the stubborn streaks.

It is also a little bulky to get in all the nooks and crannies.

With a big sponge, you are up close and personal, so you see all the little dirt marks.

Big Al

Why clean the caravan? Well they cost a fortune, and anything that will help it last longer and avoid the dreaded damp has to be a good thing.

Mind you, i have heard you think licking a plate clean means it doesn't then need washing!!! (happy xmas...)
