with regards to my other post i was just wondering if anybody could tell me the correct awning size for a swift challenger 1991 490/5 is please? a neighbour of mine reckons its a 904 but isnt totally sure? but i dont pick the caravan up till next week and ive already purchased 1 awning in error (a 965) and theres 1 due to end on ebay soon thats local to me

I've just had a look on the swift website, and it doesn't tell us accurately, so you should measure it. An awning manufacturer might also be able to give you the details

For measuring it yourself, this eBay site gives you the method

It would be handy to know how they arrive at the sizes - I have never been able to figure it out--however I do have an awning bought as a demo from caravan Camping show at the nec -- Its an Issabella Capri and was used on our 1991 swift challenger 490/5E -- it is humongous - it is still in good nick modern type with removeable panels and comes with light weight glass fibre poles.    you will need to get a breathable groundsheet for it as most sites require this - nearest to 100 quid can have it curtains and all. Wine / grey did us proud.

We have a 1992 Challenger 490/5 SEL and I understand the awning size to be a 905

I have checked on the Bradcot website and entered the corresponding details but their chart only goes down to the year 1999 and nothing below that unfortunately.
